About the position

AECOM's Water Business Line is seeking a Civil Engineer II to support the construction management team in Pittsburgh, PA. This role focuses on lead service line replacements and wastewater conveyance improvements, involving evaluations of existing assets, quality control, and engineering data analysis to support design and construction management activities.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate conditions of existing conveyance assets and/or subconsultant reports.
• Perform quality control on installation in coordination with the field team using remote tools.
• Track existing and pending construction issues and concerns using GIS.
• Gather and correlate basic engineering data using established procedures.
• Work on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and tests for wastewater conveyance design.
• Propose solutions to new problems encountered.
• Identify discrepancies in results and provide quality input for daily reports.
• Perform work in accordance with budget and schedule with moderate supervision.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related discipline.
• 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Nice-to-haves

• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE).
• GIS and CAD skills.
• Experience with spreadsheets, word processing, and standard office software.
• Previous experience with Field Maps, Google Earth, SharePoint, EBuilder.
