A well-established, reputable, and growing engineering and land planning firm is seeking a Civil Engineer to join their Engineering team in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This position offers a flexible hybrid schedule, allowing for a balance between in-office and remote work. The primary responsibility of the Civil Engineer will be to provide engineering design and leadership for private land development projects. In this role, the Civil Engineer will be responsible for preparing comprehensive site civil development plans. This includes creating site and paving plans, grading plans, erosion control plans, watermain plans, storm sewer plans, and sanitary sewer plans. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other engineering software is essential for success in this position. Responsibilities

  • Prepare site civil development plans including site and paving plans, grading plans, erosion control plans, watermain plans, storm sewer plans, and sanitary sewer plans.
  • Provide engineering design and leadership for private land development projects.
  • Conduct zoning and permitting research to ensure compliance with local regulations.
  • Design utility systems and manage storm water management systems.
  • Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and other engineering software to create detailed engineering designs.

Requirements

  • E.I.T. (Engineer in Training) or P.E. (Professional Engineer) certification is strongly encouraged.
  • Experience in engineering design of land development projects.
  • Proficiency in utility design and site grading.
  • Knowledge of storm water management systems and their design.
  • Ability to conduct zoning and permitting research effectively.
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant engineering software.
