In this position, the Civil Engineer will be responsible for preparing comprehensive site civil development plans. This includes creating site and paving plans, grading plans, erosion control plans, watermain plans, storm sewer plans, and sanitary sewer plans. The engineer will utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and various other engineering software to ensure precision and compliance with industry standards. The role requires a strong understanding of land development processes and the ability to navigate complex engineering challenges effectively. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in engineering design, particularly in land development projects, and will be expected to demonstrate proficiency in utility design, site grading, and stormwater management systems. Additionally, the engineer will conduct zoning and permitting research to ensure all projects adhere to local regulations and standards. This position offers a flexible hybrid schedule, allowing for a balance between remote work and in-office collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare site civil development plans including site and paving plans, grading plans, erosion control plans, watermain plans, storm sewer plans, and sanitary sewer plans.
  • Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and other engineering software for project design and documentation.
  • Provide engineering design and leadership for private land development projects.
  • Conduct zoning and permitting research to ensure compliance with local regulations.
  • Design utility systems and manage stormwater management systems.

Requirements

  • E.I.T. or P.E. certification is strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Experience in engineering design of land development projects.
  • Proficiency in utility design and site grading.
  • Knowledge of stormwater management systems.
  • Ability to conduct zoning and permitting research.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is required.
