Kimley-Horn's Alpharetta, GA office is seeking a Civil Engineer with over 4 years of experience to join their Land Development team. This on-site position involves performing site development engineering and project management tasks for various residential and commercial projects, focusing on land development site designs. The role emphasizes strong technical skills, project coordination, and building professional relationships within the industry.

Responsibilities

• Perform site development engineering and project management tasks for residential and commercial projects.
• Conduct research and coordination for various land development site designs.
• Manage project progress, budgets, and schedules.
• Prepare bid packages and technical specifications for projects.
• Assist in permitting for land disturbance and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Collaborate closely with clients, contractors, and various jurisdictions.

Requirements

• 4+ years of relevant engineering design experience.
• Professional Engineering (P.E.) License or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Experience with site civil design and permitting.
• Proficiency in applicable software applications including hydrology modeling programs, storm drainage programs, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.
• Familiarity with task management and concept design.
• Ability to build plan sets and other construction documents.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in coordinating with clients and attending client meetings.
• Knowledge of utilities, site layout, drainage, due diligence, and permitting.
