About the position

As a Senior Project Manager in Civil Engineering with a focus on Land Development, you will play a crucial role in the design and execution of impactful projects within the Dallas-Fort Worth Metro area. Our firm has been a leader in the industry since 1979, and we pride ourselves on our ability to create meaningful experiences through thoughtful and resourceful design. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and collaborative spirit, as you will work closely with various stakeholders including architects, landscape architects, contractors, and project owners. Your contributions will be vital from the conceptual phase through to construction administration, ensuring that every project meets our high standards of quality and innovation. In this role, you will be responsible for producing civil engineering construction documents and conceptual site plans with high accuracy and efficiency. You will engage in the design of civil utilities and site elements, including water, sanitary sewer, storm drain systems, and stormwater management. Additionally, you will be tasked with creating site grading plans, conducting earthworks calculations, and developing sediment and erosion control designs and permits. Your ability to communicate effectively and solve problems will be essential as you coordinate with various teams to bring projects to fruition. Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and production of civil engineering construction documents and conceptual site plans
  • Complete civil utility and site design including water, sanitary sewer, storm drain, HGL modeling, fire flow design, and storm water management
  • Complete site grading plans, earthworks calculations, and sediment/erosion control design/permitting
  • Coordinate with architects, landscape architects, project team, contractors, and owners
  • Work alongside project team in accordance with company standards from concept phase through construction administration for a variety of projects

Requirements

  • Four-year bachelor's degree from an accredited program in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Biological and Agricultural Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field
  • 2 - 5 years of experience in civil engineering
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Self-starter with strong drive to better oneself, project team, and community

Nice-to-haves

  • EI on path to PE preferred
  • Experience with storm drain, sanitary sewer, water distribution networks, and site grading preferred
