About the position

The Civil Engineer position at Insight Global is a full-time, direct hire opportunity based in Canonsburg, PA. This role is designed for a Civil Engineer with a strong background in site development who is looking to grow into a management role over time. The engineer will be responsible for hands-on drafting and design using CAD for commercial and residential projects, focusing on site development. The position offers a hybrid work schedule with some travel to client sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Draft and design site plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D for commercial and residential projects.
• Assist in the permitting process for site development projects.
• Handle utility coordination for various projects.
• Manage erosion and wetland issues related to site development.

Requirements

• 4+ years of Civil Engineering experience.
• Experience in site development projects.
• Civil Engineering Degree with an active PE certification, preferably in PA.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D CAD software.
• Knowledge of construction specifications and codes.

Nice-to-haves

• PE certifications in multiple states.
• Experience in construction management, general contracting, or civil engineering.
• Structural engineering experience in addition to site development.
