The successful candidate will engage in roadway design, green streets, complete streets, stormwater capture and treatment, precise grading, and ADA curb ramp design. In this role, you will support the preparation of construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates, ensuring that standard engineering practices are followed and that appropriate documentation is included in various reports and design projects. You will evaluate alternatives, resolve technical issues, and interface with other engineering disciplines and utility infrastructure. Responsibilities

  • Civil Engineering infrastructure design including roadway design, green streets, complete streets, stormwater capture and treatment, precise grading, and ADA curb ramp design.
  • Support preparation of construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Ensure standard engineering practices and inclusion of appropriate documentation on various reports and design projects.
  • Evaluate alternatives, resolve technical issues, and interface with other engineering disciplines and utility infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with a team to create unified solutions and create seamless deliverable sets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or similar, required.
  • 3+ years of experience in civil engineering field.
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification strongly preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
  • Project work experience and knowledge of feature lines, precise grading, surfaces, and drainage using Civil3D is ideal.
  • Strong communication, report writing, organization, analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to self-direct and self-check plan sets and reports, along with others work product.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D as well as Microsoft Office software, to include Word, Excel, word processing, and spreadsheet management programs.
