About the position

The Civil Engineer position at Global Channel Management, Inc. focuses on the design and construction of telecommunication sites and mission-critical facilities. The role requires a strong background in civil engineering, particularly in land development and compliance with engineering standards. The engineer will be responsible for preparing construction drawings, leading design strategies, and collaborating with various departments to ensure project success.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare construction drawings for civil/site, equipment room/buildings, and network designs that comply with building codes, AutoCAD standards, and engineering principles.
  • Lead design strategy for discipline-specific decisions for assigned programs and complicated projects.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally across departments; represent the team when managing site-specific designs and program type.
  • Contribute to improving design standards and documents and participate in construction specifications meetings and updates.

Requirements

  • 6 years in construction or field engineering of telecommunication sites or mission critical facilities.
  • Professional Engineering license.
  • Highly proficient with all operations within your discipline such as Civil 3D.
  • Expert use of discipline-specific design and analysis tools (retaining walls, stormwater analysis, etc.).
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering field required.
  • 4 years of land development design for telecommunication sites, mission critical facilities or commercial developments.
  • 4 years of progressively responsible engineering experience with direct involvement in discipline-specific design solutions and designs preferred.
