About the position

James A. Sewell and Associates, LLC is currently seeking a qualified Civil Engineer, PE to join our Spokane, Washington office as a Project Manager. This role involves a combination of project management, engineering design, and construction inspection duties. The ideal candidate will be comfortable collaborating with clients and team members on a variety of civil infrastructure projects. These projects include, but are not limited to, potable water systems, sewer systems, stormwater systems, and structural inspections and designs. Responsibilities

  • Perform project management duties for civil infrastructure projects.
  • Conduct engineering design for potable water systems, sewer systems, and stormwater systems.
  • Carry out construction inspection duties to ensure compliance with design specifications.
  • Collaborate with clients and team members to deliver quality engineering solutions.
  • Prepare and review project documentation and reports.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and regulatory standards during project execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited college is required.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of civil engineering experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of construction practices and principles is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
  • Attention to detail in engineering design and project management.
  • A willingness to learn and grow within the role.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with structural inspections and designs.
