Our Civil Engineer, PE position offers an exciting opportunity to engage in a variety of civil and utility-related public infrastructure projects, including modeling, design, and construction oversight. The role is based in Tampa, FL, with potential locations in Orlando, Estero, or Miami. As a Civil Engineer, you will provide cross-service line support for site civil, water, and industrial wastewater projects, directly communicating with clients to ensure their needs are met. You will serve as the lead engineer on unique infrastructure projects for government clients, focusing on the design of utilities, civil and stormwater piping, pumping systems, and site improvements for various public works infrastructure. Your expertise will also extend to performing water resources engineering for surface water management systems and stormwater collection/conveyance systems. In this role, you will be responsible for writing technical specifications and reports, ensuring that you stay abreast of new and innovative approaches to solving civil engineering assignments. Responsibilities

  • Provide cross-service line support for site civil, water, and industrial wastewater projects, communicating directly with clients.
  • Serve as lead engineer on unique infrastructure projects for government clients.
  • Design utilities, civil and stormwater piping, pumping systems, and site improvements for buildings, parking, recreational facilities, and related government public works infrastructure.
  • Perform water resources engineering for surface water management systems and stormwater collection/conveyance systems.
  • Write technical specifications and technical reports.
  • Stay abreast of new and innovative approaches to solving civil engineering assignments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering; Master's preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in civil or environmental field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License in Florida required, or able to obtain within one year.
  • Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
  • Experience in water resources, stormwater, and civil engineering, roadway engineering design, and hydraulic modeling.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication & presentation skills, with the ability to interact with team members and all levels of the organization and external organizations.
