Our Civil Engineer, PE position in Lexington, KY, offers an exciting opportunity to lead an engineering team within our civil and water/wastewater design groups. These teams are dedicated to providing design engineering and construction management services for municipalities in Michigan and other locations across the United States. The successful candidate will engage in a variety of municipal and private projects, including water and wastewater treatment, stormwater management, grading, sewer systems, and water analysis, while also evaluating regulations that impact these projects. In this role, you will be responsible for performing both conceptual and detailed design work, including hydraulic calculations and analyses. You will prepare comprehensive engineering reports, construction drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and other supporting documents. Ensuring adherence to standard engineering practices and the inclusion of appropriate documentation in various reports and design projects will be crucial. You will also interpret engineering specifications and drawings, recommend and document design modifications, and coordinate with the design team to ensure project success. Additionally, you will review contractor submittals for compliance with engineering specifications and drawings, responding to requests for additional information as needed. On-site resident engineer responsibilities during construction will also be part of your duties, ensuring that contract designs and specifications are followed throughout the project lifecycle.
