About the position

Front Range Staffing is seeking a Civil Engineer (PE) with 4 to 8 years' experience in Utilities, Wastewater, and Roadways for a local family-owned and operated Engineering firm. This position is crucial for the design, planning, and oversight of various construction and infrastructure projects, focusing on grading, erosion control, drainage, and utility plans. The Civil Engineer will be responsible for preparing detailed grading, erosion control, drainage, and utility plans, as well as writing comprehensive reports and narratives. Interaction with design teams and local authorities will be a key aspect of this role, ensuring that all projects meet the necessary standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will develop and prepare engineering plans, designs, and specifications for a variety of civil engineering projects, including roads, grading, erosion control, bridges, drainage systems, and utilities. They will perform calculations and analyses to ensure the structural integrity and safety of proposed designs. Additionally, the Civil Engineer will prepare and review technical reports, project documentation, and environmental impact assessments, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and industry standards. Proficiency in using AutoCAD Civil 3D and other civil engineering software and tools for design and analysis is essential. The role also involves assisting in the preparation of project budgets, schedules, and cost estimates, demonstrating strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work independently while making informed decisions. A Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Colorado is required, along with strong communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and accuracy. Experience with project management and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously will be highly valued.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
