About the position

The Civil Engineer position focuses on site development, requiring expertise in designing and planning various civil projects. The role involves overseeing project specifications, performing calculations, and utilizing engineering techniques to ensure successful project execution. While project management is not the primary focus, the engineer may occasionally take on project management responsibilities and oversee the work of other professionals.

Responsibilities

• Design and plan production for a wide range of civil projects, including site layouts, horizontal and vertical control, grading and drainage, paving, and site utilities
• Perform quantity calculations and prepare detailed specifications and contract documents
• Utilize specialized engineering techniques and procedures to carry out complex assignments with sound judgement
• Oversee the work of other professionals and technicians as required

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience
• Licensed as a professional engineer (PE) preferred
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Hands-on experience with civil engineering software such as Civil 3D, InRoads, and Microsoft Office
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities
