About the position

The Civil Engineer Project Manager at Crafton Tull is responsible for planning, designing, and directing various engineering projects, including municipal, residential, and commercial developments. This role emphasizes ownership and professional growth within a supportive work environment, ensuring that projects adhere to established management plans and meet client needs effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Adheres to the Crafton Tull Project Management Plan and ensures compliance by all project team members.
  • Analyzes reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, and other data to plan and design projects.
  • Utilizes computer-assisted engineering and design software to create engineering documents.
  • Calculates costs and determines project feasibility based on data analysis.
  • Prepares and modifies reports, specifications, plans, and construction schedules.
  • Meets with clients to coordinate project changes and resolve issues.
  • Coordinates project activities with officials, subcontractors, and utilities.
  • Inspects construction sites to monitor progress and ensure compliance with plans and standards.
  • Manages project budgets to ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Attends meetings to provide and receive project information and updates.
  • Keeps updated on industry techniques, materials, and regulations through seminars and briefings.
  • Conducts marketing calls to existing and potential customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (BS) from an accredited institution.
  • Five to eight years of related experience or training.
  • Must be certified as a Professional Engineer (PE) and licensed in Arkansas.
  • Ability to read and interpret scientific and technical documents.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient in mathematical concepts relevant to engineering.
  • Ability to define problems and analyze data effectively.
  • Knowledge of database, design, project management, spreadsheet, and word processing software.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in municipal engineering projects.
  • Familiarity with environmental impact studies.
  • Previous experience in client-facing roles.
