About the position

A very reputable client is seeking a Structural Engineer to join their team to work on multi-discipline project teams providing structural engineering and related technical expertise. The successful candidate will be involved in various project assignments that may include design and analysis, preparation of plans and specifications, report writing, cost estimating, and construction observation. The work will primarily focus on commercial and industrial facilities, requiring a strong foundation in civil engineering principles and practices. This position offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment, contributing to significant projects that impact the community and industry. Responsibilities

  • Provide structural engineering and related technical expertise on multi-discipline project teams.
  • Conduct design and analysis for various projects.
  • Prepare plans and specifications for structural projects.
  • Write reports and perform cost estimating for project budgets.
  • Observe construction processes to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering and a M.S. in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis from an ABET accredited engineering college.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, word processing, and spreadsheet software.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness in work.
  • A flexible working style to meet deadlines and client needs.
  • Superior task management skills, including scheduling, prioritizing, and following-up.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
  • Acceptable driving record.
