The Civil Engineer Project Manager position is a long-term opportunity with one of our top clients located in Austin, Texas. This role is designed for a professional who is ready to take on the responsibility of overseeing all aspects of project delivery for multiple projects at various stages of design and construction. In this role, the Civil Engineer Project Manager will engage in direct communication with clients to address key issues and ensure that project requirements are met. They will be responsible for developing budgets and schedules, managing the design process, and creating precise construction drawings. Additionally, the Project Manager will provide various professional services during the construction administration phase, ensuring that projects are executed smoothly and efficiently. The position requires a proactive approach to project management, including the ability to conduct detailed reviews of multiple projects at different stages of design. The Project Manager will also coordinate design efforts with both public and private stakeholders, ensuring that all parties are aligned and informed throughout the project lifecycle. This role is ideal for an individual who possesses strong organizational skills and a keen business acumen in project planning and management.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with key clients to define project requirements, develop design criteria, and communicate priorities to the project team.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and estimates.
  • Produce construction documents with an established team of experienced technical professionals.
  • Conduct detailed reviews of multiple projects at different stages of design.
  • Coordinate design efforts with public and private stakeholders.
  • Provide construction administration services, such as reviewing submittals/shop drawings, change order requests, and addressing field inquiries.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer registration.
  • Minimum of 4 years of design experience (8+ years preferred).
  • Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills.
  • Strong business acumen in project planning and management preferred.
