About the position

At Barge Design Solutions, we are seeking dynamic and experienced Project Managers for civil site/land development projects in the Private Client Center in Knoxville, TN. This role is ideal for both mid-level and senior-level project managers who are passionate about leading projects, driving results, and delivering excellence. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of project management, including business development, project design, contract negotiation, and client communication throughout all phases of the project. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Your responsibilities will include developing comprehensive Project Management Plans, tracking project budgets, contracts, billing, and schedules, and ensuring the implementation and execution of the Quality Program. You will also be tasked with reviewing project reports and findings, making necessary modifications, and creating conceptual site plans and designs. As the primary liaison between clients and the project team, you will coordinate events, lead meetings, and ensure the successful delivery of projects to clients. Additionally, you may occasionally function as an engineering technical lead on projects, contributing your expertise to enhance project outcomes. In this role, you will be expected to meet profitability goals in support of Barge's business and strategic plan while mentoring others and building employee capabilities. Developing and maintaining positive relationships with clients, customers, officials, contractors, and other stakeholders is essential. Responsibilities

• Business development and project management including developing proposals, providing project design, negotiating contracts, and attending meetings during all phases of the project.
• Develops contracts including subcontracts to comply with Barge terms.
• Prepares comprehensive Project Management Plans and tracks project budgets, contracts, billing, and schedules.
• Ensures Quality Program implementation and execution.
• Reviews project reports and findings. Makes modifications to project as needed.
• Creates conceptual site plans and designs, provides technical engineering guidance, and resolves project problems, challenges, and obstacles.
• Acts as primary agent between client and project team developing the project scope and proposals, coordinating events, leading client meetings & internal project meetings, and delivery of final project to client.
• On occasion may function as an engineering technical lead on projects.
• Meets profitability goals in support of Barge's business and strategic plan.
• Mentors' others and builds employee capabilities.
• Develops and maintains positive relationships with clients, customers, officials, contractors, and others.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program
• 10 years experience with civil site/land development/project management preferred
• PE registration
• Strong design and technical credibility
• Excellent oral, written and graphical communication skills
• Ability to effectively manage concurrent projects and deadlines
• Strong teambuilding and collaboration skills
