About the position

The Senior Civil Engineer will work with multidisciplinary project teams, focusing on civil engineering design and analysis related to site layout, grading, drainage, and mass earthwork. This role involves technical assignments such as design using CADD modeling software, preparation of construction plans, and project management. The engineer will also mentor junior engineers and take on strategic leadership responsibilities, including business development and project planning. The position may require short-term, out-of-town assignments and offers a hybrid work arrangement.

Responsibilities

• Work with multidisciplinary project teams on civil engineering design and analysis.
• Perform technical assignments including design with CADD modeling software.
• Prepare construction plans and specifications.
• Conduct site development design and report writing.
• Estimate construction costs and observe construction activities.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers to enhance their skills.
• Engage in business development and project management activities.
• Plan and schedule projects effectively.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
• 10 or more years of related work experience.
• Professional engineer (PE) certification or ability to obtain it within one year.
• Project management experience with a successful execution record.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Civil 3D, and computer simulation modeling.
• Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Willingness to work in a project team environment.
• Possession of a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
