The Civil Engineer Staff I position at Verdantas involves assisting Project Managers with technical and civil engineering design, focusing on land development and water resources. Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers with technical and civil engineering design or provide Project Management
• Perform technical engineering work associated with land development and/or water resources
• Design stormwater management systems
• Conduct site grading
• Develop erosion and sediment control designs
• Prepare plans for agency/municipal review
• Complete various land development and environmental permitting applications
• Attend meetings with municipal officials, engineers, developers, and contractors
• Demonstrate critical thinking and a willingness to learn through trial and error
• Show a strong desire to grow and advance as an engineer or technical designer

Requirements

• Associate degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
• 0-2 years of experience in land development civil-site engineering
• Familiarity with HydroCAD or other stormwater modeling software
• Knowledge of green infrastructure practices, such as bioretention systems, permeable pavement, infiltration systems, and green roofs
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D preferred
• EIT Preferred
• Familiarity with ArcGIS software is preferred
