About the position
Clark Civil Engineering, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Civil Engineer/Technician to assist in the preparation and production of civil engineering plans and designs. The role involves working with AutoCAD software to create various engineering plans, conducting fieldwork as part of a survey crew, and ensuring attention to detail in all aspects of the work.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and production of civil engineering plans and designs.
- Create plans and profiles, utilities, grading, and drainage designs using AutoCAD software.
- Conduct fieldwork as part of a survey crew to gather data for topographic surveys and septic plans.
- Implement erosion and sediment control plans and other related design plans.
- Communicate effectively with engineers regarding project layouts and technical features.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or working towards a degree in civil engineering.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is preferred.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD software.
- Strong attention to detail in engineering plans.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to take direction from supervising engineers.
- Physical fitness for fieldwork, including carrying equipment and traversing steep terrain.
