Responsibilities

• Perform journey-level civil engineering work including hydrology and hydraulics for dam safety.
• Conduct inspections and monitoring of dams under the Dam Safety and Encroachments Act.
• Ensure compliance with Chapter 105 Dam Safety and Waterway Management rules and regulations, the Clean Streams Law, and the Flood Plain Management Act.
• Participate in a one-year formal on-the-job training program if filled as a Civil Engineer Trainee.
• Engage in both office and field work related to dam safety projects.

Requirements

• Four years of civil engineering experience and an Engineer-in-Training certificate issued by the Pennsylvania State Registration Board.
• A bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a closely related field with major coursework in civil engineering.
• An equivalent combination of experience and training including possession of an Engineer-in-Training certificate.
