About the position

Woolpert, Inc. is a leading national architecture, engineering, and geospatial (AEG) firm that is committed to delivering exceptional value to clients through a combination of site and architectural design excellence, innovative technology, and geospatial applications. As a certified Employer of Choice by Great Place To Work, Woolpert believes that great companies are built from exceptional people and amazing clients. Due to our ongoing growth, we are excited to offer an internship opportunity for a Civil Engineer - Transportation Intern for the Fall 2024 semester. This internship will provide a unique chance to gain real-world project experience in a supportive environment that fosters both professional and personal growth. The Transportation Intern will be based in one of our Ohio offices located in Dayton, Columbus, Cincinnati, or Cleveland, and will work full-time, 40 hours per week. The intern will collaborate with the Woolpert Transportation teams on various design elements that support roadway, bridge, traffic, and planning projects. These projects may involve working with the Department of Transportation (DOT), municipalities, federal government entities, or private sector clients. Typical projects include new bridge designs, bridge rehabilitations, new roadways, retaining walls, trails, and transportation planning or traffic studies that support development. Interns will be assigned to an office rather than a single team, allowing them to gain experience across multiple Transportation Disciplines. Returning interns will have the opportunity to select a concentration after discussions with their supervisor. All projects undertaken will have a direct impact on the communities where we live and work.
