About the position

The Construction Quality Assurance Engineer position at the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) involves overseeing the construction Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) efforts within the Northwest Region Engineering Team. This role is critical in ensuring the quality and consistency of transportation infrastructure projects across the state, providing expertise in policy development, implementation, and evaluation for the statewide construction program.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the construction Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) efforts for the region.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate policies for the statewide construction program.
  • Provide expertise in the administration and evaluation of transportation construction programs.
  • Analyze and resolve claims related to construction projects.
  • Ensure consistency between the two regional offices in construction techniques and problem-solving.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) ABET accredited college or university with a 4-year bachelor's degree in engineering or possess a PE license.
  • At least 4 years of engineering experience after receiving the engineering degree.
