About the position

Kimley-Horn's Ocalam Florida office is seeking a Civil Engineer with over 4 years of experience to join their Transportation Planning and Traffic team. This role involves performing traffic engineering and project management tasks for a variety of transportation-related projects, while also contributing to the growth of the firm's established engineering practice.

Responsibilities

• Perform traffic engineering and project management tasks for diverse transportation planning and traffic engineering projects.
• Manage projects profitably and engage in hands-on practice and delivery of projects.
• Transition work to qualified staff and act as a positive leader and mentor.
• Contribute to marketing and business development efforts, pursuing personal passions and client leads.
• Build meaningful internal and external professional relationships with clients and industry professionals.

Requirements

• 4+ years of relevant engineering experience in transportation planning, traffic engineering, and design.
• Professional Engineering (P.E.) License or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Proficiency in Synchro, HCS, and/or Vissim software applications.
• Ability to work in a team environment and balance priorities among multiple projects.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills at all organizational levels.
• Experience in managing and mentoring staff effectively.
• Business development and marketing experience, including proposal writing and budget assembly.
