About the position

Kimley-Horn's Atlanta, GA office is seeking a Civil Engineer with over 4 years of experience to join their Transportation Planning and Traffic team. This on-site position involves performing traffic engineering and project management tasks to deliver a variety of transportation planning, transit, traffic engineering, safety, and intelligent transportation systems (ITS) projects for diverse clients. The role emphasizes entrepreneurial spirit, project profitability, and significant contributions to marketing and business development efforts.

Responsibilities

• Perform traffic engineering and project management tasks for various transportation projects.
• Manage projects profitably and engage in hands-on practice and delivery.
• Transition work to qualified staff and act as a positive leader and mentor.
• Contribute to marketing and business development efforts.
• Build meaningful internal and external professional relationships.

Requirements

• 4+ years of relevant engineering experience in transportation planning, traffic engineering, and design.
• Professional Engineering (P.E.) License or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Proficiency in Synchro, HCS, and/or Vissim software applications.
• Ability to work in a team environment and balance priorities among multiple projects.
• Ability to manage and mentor staff effectively.
