About the position

The Civil Engineer position at SRP involves joining the engineering design and drafting team to support power plant facilities through upgrades, repairs, and improvements. The role requires engineering design and project management skills to complete projects from inception to completion, with a focus on structural and concrete design.

Responsibilities

• Performs engineering design work and engineering studies.
• Acts as engineering project leader.
• Prepares specifications and evaluates bids.
• Prepares recommendation material for management consideration.
• Administers and reviews work performed by consultants and others.
• Prepares and/or conducts written and oral reports and presentations.
• Performs field engineering work.
• Conducts engineering analyses.
• Designs and/or codes computer programs.

Requirements

• Five (5) years full-time experience in engineering practice.
• Completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum or recognized institution.
• Possession of a valid Arizona driver's license.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with design, structural, concrete, platform, and staircase projects.
• Demonstrated capability to perform advanced engineering work.
