About the position

The Civil Water Resource Engineer position involves leading teams and projects focused on water resource engineering. This role is ideal for candidates passionate about civil engineering and seeking to advance their careers within a reputable, fast-growing engineering firm.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop water resource engineering projects
  • Develop and review project proposals to meet client needs
  • Coordinate design with project manager while maintaining great client relations
  • Implement stormwater management strategies and solutions
  • Coordinate labor and equipment resources
  • Review plans, specifications, and estimates at various project stages to ensure completeness and accuracy
  • Utilize working knowledge of design standards to create innovative engineering solutions
  • Utilize ArcGIS, InfoSWMM, and CAD software for data analysis and project design
  • Work with municipalities for permitting
  • Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and project updates

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • EIT and willingness to obtain PE
  • 3-5 years in Civil Engineering, Water/Wastewater Treatment Facilities, Water/Sewer Mains, Pump Stations and Storm Facilities
  • Proficiency in using design software and tools including ESRI ArcGIS, AutoCAD Civil 3D, KYPipe, SewerGEMS, WaterCAD, HEC-RAS, and Microsoft applications
  • Technical writing/communication skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
