As a Civil Water Resource Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing various water resource engineering projects. This includes developing and reviewing project proposals to ensure they meet client needs, coordinating design efforts with project managers, and maintaining strong client relations throughout the project lifecycle. You will also implement stormwater management strategies and solutions, coordinate labor and equipment resources, and review plans, specifications, and estimates at various project stages to ensure completeness and accuracy. In this role, you will utilize your working knowledge of design standards to create innovative engineering solutions while applying your expertise in AASHTO, MUTCD, WEG, APWA, and AWWA to ensure compliance and quality. You will be expected to use software tools such as ArcGIS, InfoSWMM, and CAD for data analysis and project design, conduct field surveys and inspections to gather data, and prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and project updates to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop water resource engineering projects
  • Develop and review project proposals to meet client needs
  • Coordinate design with project manager while maintaining great client relations
  • Implement stormwater management strategies and solutions
  • Coordinate labor and equipment resources
  • Review plans, specifications, and estimates at various project stages to ensure completeness and accuracy
  • Utilize working knowledge of design standards to create innovative engineering solutions
  • Apply expertise in AASHTO, MUTCD, WEG, APWA, and AWWA to ensure compliance and quality
  • Utilize ArcGIS, InfoSWMM, and CAD software for data analysis and project design
  • Conduct field surveys and inspections to gather data for engineering projects
  • Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and project updates

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related field
  • EIT or PE License Required
  • 3-5 years in Civil Engineering, Water/Wastewater Treatment Facilities, Water/Sewer Mains, Pump Stations and Storm Facilities
  • Proficiency in using design software and tools including ESRI ArcGIS, AutoCAD Civil 3D, KYPipe, SewerGEMS, WaterCAD, HEC-RAS, and Microsoft applications
  • Strong project management, leadership, and technical writing/communication skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
