About the position

Garver is seeking a Civil Engineer to join their Water Design Center Civil team in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The Project Engineer will work under the guidance of a Project Manager and collaborate with design engineers and CAD technicians to produce design documents for various water-related civil engineering projects. This role involves planning, modeling, and designing systems related to water and wastewater management, ensuring innovative and cost-effective solutions while maintaining environmental responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Perform planning, modeling, and design tasks related to water and wastewater projects.
• Design water main and sewer pipe conveyance systems for treatment plant processes.
• Develop treatment plant site layouts, grading, and stormwater collection systems.
• Design site access and paving.
• Create distribution systems including conveyance and network piping, pump stations, storage units, and reservoirs.
• Design collection systems including interceptor, network, and outfall piping, and pump stations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• 2+ years of general Civil engineering experience.
• Registered as an Engineer Intern (EI) or eligible to take the FE exam within 6 months.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous internship or full-time experience related to water/wastewater projects or site design.
• Experience with AutoCAD - Civil 3D and water/sewer modeling.
