About the position

Actalent, a well-established site/civil and environmental engineering firm located in Connecticut, is seeking a Civil Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (B.S.C.E.) and have a strong foundation in engineering principles, particularly in site work, infrastructure, storm drainage, roadway design, erosion control, and onsite sewage disposal systems. Candidates with 3-4 years of experience and progression towards a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license are encouraged to apply. Proficiency in industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HydroCAD/Hydoflow, and Micro Station is essential for this role. Alternatively, Actalent is also looking for an Associate Civil Engineer with a B.S.C.E. and a P.E. license, who has a minimum of 5-10+ years of experience. This role requires strong skills in the design of site work and infrastructure, as well as experience in managing engineering staff and engaging with clients. The candidate should be adept at understanding the application and permitting process, possess excellent writing skills, and be capable of preparing construction specifications. The position involves a variety of responsibilities including site design projects, drainage management designs, septic design, site grading, preparation of local municipal applications, and road and storm sewer design. Requirements
