About the position

The Civil Engineer position at Actalent involves utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D for designing site grading and utility improvements, particularly for churches and commercial sites. The role encompasses the development of proposals, permits, construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates, along with performing stormwater management designs and obtaining necessary permits.

Responsibilities

• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to design site grading and utility improvements for new and existing churches and commercial sites.
• Develop and complete proposals, permits, construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Perform stormwater management designs and manage stormwater permitting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience in Civil Land Development or Municipal Engineering.
• PE licensure in the State of Illinois is strongly preferred, or the ability to obtain it within a year.
• Proficient in AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
• Experience with HydroCAD, StormCAD, and/or Pondpack and preparation of hydraulic reports.
• Experience with permitting through MWRD, IDNR, USACE, IEPA, IDOT, and other municipal or state agencies.
