About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Civil Engineer, either an Engineer in Training (EIT) or a Professional Engineer (PE), to join our dynamic team in Dover, Delaware. This is an urgent position that will be filled quickly, and the selected candidate will play a crucial role in our Civil Engineering firm. The primary functions of this role include planning and designing Civil and Site Development projects. This encompasses a variety of tasks such as site layout, grading, stormwater management, and utilities. The successful candidate will collaborate with a multi-discipline team of architects, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineers, and structural engineers on diverse projects, including those in Higher Education, Retail, Commercial, and Industrial sectors. In this position, you will work closely with other technical staff from various offices to provide consulting engineering services to state and private universities, national retailers, municipalities, architects, and local development clients. You will also engage with other Civil Engineering teams within the organization, including Municipal, Transportation, Water Resources, and Water/Wastewater projects. Daily interactions with project teams in a multi-disciplinary and multi-office environment will be a key aspect of your role, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and design Civil and Site Development projects including site layout, grading, stormwater management, and utilities.
  • Collaborate with a multi-discipline team of architects, MEP, and structural engineers on various projects.
  • Provide consulting engineering services to state and private universities, national retailers, municipalities, architects, and local development clients.
  • Work with other Civil Engineering teams including Municipal, Transportation, Water Resources, and Water/Wastewater projects.
  • Interact daily with project teams in a multi-disciplinary and multi-office environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
  • 2+ years of experience in site development or general civil engineering.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.
  • Excellent computer and communication skills.
