About the position

AECOM is seeking a mid-level civil/environmental engineer to join the Environmental Business line, focusing on engineering design for various civil and remediation projects. The role involves conducting site assessments, planning and permitting, developing construction documents, and overseeing construction services for industrial and power clients across the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial site assessments and planning for civil and remediation projects.
• Develop construction documents and oversee the execution of closure and construction activities.
• Manage site remediation and post-remediation site development projects.
• Implement solid waste management and stormwater design/management solutions.
• Provide oversight of construction services for various projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• 4+ years of relevant experience or equivalent education/experience.
• Valid driver's license and U.S. citizenship required.

Nice-to-haves

• Professional Engineer license in Ohio or ability to obtain it within 6 months.
• Advanced knowledge in developing site/civil plans and drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Familiarity with hazardous materials survey procedures and utility planning.
• Experience in stormwater management and hydraulic modeling using HydroCAD or similar programs.
• Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering.
