About the position

Actalent is seeking a Civil Engineer with an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification to support plan production for site development projects in Vancouver, WA. The role involves drafting construction plans from sketches, developing detailed drawings for civil engineering improvements, and coordinating data collection to ensure compliance with jurisdictional standards. Responsibilities

• Aid in plan production, including drafting plans and drawings for construction from rough or detailed sketches.
• Develop detailed drawings for construction of civil engineering site improvements including corridors, pipe networks, parcels, grading, draining, and storm water reports.
• Coordinate the collection of data and incorporate information from topographical surveys and geographical reports.
• Modify drawings based on red lines, mark ups, field notes, and other instructions.
• Retrieve applicable jurisdictional data to ensure drawings meet the latest standards.
• Maintain project drawing files, associated records, and documentation, and meet deadlines.
• Verify data for accuracy and quality control.

Requirements

• Must have an internship or work experience in Civil Engineering.
• Experience in land development in developer financed projects.
• Ability to design grading, parcels, pipe networks, and utilities in AutoCAD.
• Experience with stormwater design and reports in Hydrocad.
