About the position

We are an enhanced, full-service company, offering survey, planning, and engineering capabilities across the Southeast. Our Duluth office is currently seeking experienced Civil Engineers to join our team of over 150 employees. This position involves a variety of responsibilities including site layout, grading, utilities, and stormwater management design. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, working closely with teammates both locally and at other office locations. The role requires effective permit coordination and municipal outreach, as well as the preparation of comprehensive site construction documentation. This includes creating demolition plans, layout plans, erosion control plans, grading and drainage plans, stormwater management plans, utilities, site details, transportation improvements, and project cost estimates/analysis. Additionally, candidates will be responsible for conducting due diligence and site analysis, preparing engineering or technical computations, and developing design solutions. We are looking for individuals who possess a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, with an EIT license preferred but not mandatory. Candidates should have 2-4 years of experience as a project engineer, with a focus on production. Experience in residential, commercial, multifamily, and industrial projects is highly valued. Knowledge of local municipal, county, and state land use, planning, and zoning processes and regulations is essential. Strong communication skills and teamwork are critical for success in this role, along with proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

  • Site layout, grading, utilities, stormwater management design
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced collaborative environment with teammates locally and at other office locations
  • Permit coordination and municipal outreach

  • Due diligence and site analysis

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • EIT license preferred but not required
  • 2-4 years' of experience as a project engineer working on production
  • Project experience within either residential, commercial, multifamily, and industrial
  • Knowledge of local municipal, county and state land use, planning and zoning processes and regulations
  • Team-oriented, with excellent communication skills
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D
