We are seeking Entry Level Civil Engineers to join our land development engineering team. This position will involve working on various projects, including Commercial, Residential, and Municipal Land Development, with a particular focus on stormwater management, which encompasses drainage/stormwater design and permitting. The initial responsibilities will include the preparation of Site Development Plans and supporting calculations for Land Development Projects. The role requires conducting site investigations and due diligence, which includes reviewing ordinances, researching utility services, understanding agency regulations, and performing site visits to establish comprehensive development guidelines and Due Diligence Reports. The candidate will also be responsible for preparing conceptual engineering drawings based on the client's development objectives and the conclusions drawn from due diligence. A significant part of the job will involve designing stormwater management and stormwater conveyance systems, utilizing hydrology design software. Candidates should be skilled in preparing pipe sizing calculations for stormwater conveyance systems, which includes creating drainage area maps, evaluating surface runoff coefficients, inverts, slopes, velocities, and hydraulic grade lines using the Rational Method and Manning's Equation. Knowledge of stormwater management design regulations, including those from the County, SCD, and governing municipalities, is essential. Proficiency with software such as ICPR4, Stormcad, SFWMD Cascade, and Nutrient Loading BMP Software is preferred. Additional responsibilities include grading design and earthwork analysis, designing utility systems (including sanitary sewer and lift station design, as well as water distribution systems with fire flow calculations), soil erosion and sediment control design, preparation of construction cost estimates, project coordination (including attendance at project team meetings and virtual meetings), and preparation of written correspondence with outside agencies, clients, attorneys, contractors, etc. This also includes the preparation of technical reports related to drainage, sanitary sewer, and site investigations.
