About the position

Actalent, a well-established Connecticut Site/Civil & Environmental Engineering Firm, is seeking a Civil Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (B.S.C.E.) and have a strong foundation in site work, infrastructure, storm drainage, roadway design, erosion control, and onsite sewage disposal systems. The position is open to engineers at all levels, including those with 3-4 years of experience who are proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HydroCAD/Hydoflow, and Micro Station, and are progressing towards obtaining their Professional Engineer (P.E.) license. Alternatively, candidates with a minimum of 5-10+ years of experience and a P.E. license are also encouraged to apply. The Civil Engineer will be responsible for managing site design projects, drainage management designs, septic design, site grading, and the preparation of various local municipal applications. Road design and storm sewer design will also be key components of the role. The successful candidate will engage with clients, manage engineering staff, and navigate the application and permitting process while demonstrating strong writing skills to prepare construction specifications. Requirements

  • Bachelor's in Civil Engineering from an accredited engineering school
