Responsibilities

  • Design and oversee construction projects, including roadway and highway design, using AutoCad and Civil 3D software.
  • Ensure projects meet all required safety standards and regulations.
  • Work closely with project managers, architects, and contractors to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Prepare and review engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure work is being completed according to plans.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and drafters.
  • Collaborate with other departments within the organization to ensure projects are aligned with overall company goals.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in civil engineering technology.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on roadway and highway design.
  • Proficiency in AutoCad and Civil 3D software.
  • Knowledge of ITD regulations and standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
