About The Position
Jacobi, Toombs & Lanz Engineers (JTL) is seeking a full-time Civil Engineer for our office located in New Albany, IN or Louisville, KY. With nearly 60 years of experience in the Greater Louisville/Southern Indiana area, JTL is a well-respected civil engineering firm that is part of Prime AE Group Inc., which operates 20 offices and employs over 450 professionals across the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, and Northeast regions of the United States. Our firm is dedicated to solving contemporary architectural and engineering challenges, enhancing community infrastructure, and optimizing client resources. We are looking for passionate professionals who are eager to contribute to meaningful projects that improve communities. In this role, the Civil Engineer will focus on site planning and engineering design for both private and public development projects. Responsibilities will include site development, roadway and parking design, grading design, stormwater management system design, erosion and sediment control design, conducting site due diligence studies, and preparing construction detailing and specifications. The ideal candidate will work closely with the design team to develop detailed design documents for construction plans related to site development, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal requirements. This position offers the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of project development, from initial design to field visits during construction, making it a dynamic and engaging role.
