About the position

Our client is seeking a dedicated Civil Engineer to join their team in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The primary responsibility of this role is to replace lead service lines with copper ones, a critical task that contributes to public health and safety. The engineer will be actively involved in canvassing and surveying various neighborhoods, engaging with homeowners on a daily basis to obtain permission for plumbing inspections outside their residences. This position requires a hands-on approach, as the engineer will utilize a mobile application on a tablet to guide inspections and accurately record data during the process. The role demands a combination of technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills. The Civil Engineer will need to effectively communicate the importance of the project to homeowners, ensuring they understand the benefits of replacing lead service lines. This involves not only technical knowledge but also the ability to build rapport and trust with the community. The engineer will be expected to conduct thorough plumbing inspections, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and documenting findings meticulously. Responsibilities

Requirements
