About the position

As a Civil Engineer, you will lead the planning, design, and management of vital infrastructure projects that include roads, water systems, and public facilities. This role requires you to supervise project teams, which consist of junior engineers and CADD technicians, ensuring that projects are executed collaboratively and efficiently. You will represent the firm at public meetings, engaging with municipal officials to align on community objectives and ensure that the projects meet the needs of the public. Your responsibilities will also include developing and sustaining client relationships, ensuring that communication is responsive and proactive throughout the project lifecycle. In addition to project management, you will conduct thorough plan reviews and oversee construction activities to ensure compliance with municipal standards and approvals. This position is critical in ensuring that infrastructure projects are not only designed effectively but also executed in a manner that meets regulatory requirements and community expectations. Your expertise will be essential in navigating the complexities of municipal project design and management, making this a pivotal role within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, design, and management of infrastructure projects including roads, water systems, and public facilities.
  • Supervise project teams, including junior engineers and CADD technicians, to ensure collaborative and efficient project execution.
  • Represent the firm at public meetings and engage with municipal officials to align on community objectives.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships, ensuring responsive and proactive communication.
  • Conduct thorough plan reviews and oversee construction to ensure alignment with municipal standards and approvals.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated expertise in client relations with a strong drive for business development.
  • Qualified to obtain PA Act 34, 114, and 151 clearances.
  • Civil Engineer with seven years of experience in municipal project design and management (PA PE license preferred).
  • Availability to attend evening meetings if needed.
  • Holds a valid driver's license for client site visits.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D.
