About the position

The Transportation Project Manager will oversee various aspects of transportation projects, including scoping, costing, proposal preparation, and project execution. This role involves managing project teams, ensuring compliance with regulations, maintaining client relationships, and achieving project performance objectives. The position requires a strong background in civil engineering, particularly in roadway and airfield design, and offers a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Participate in project scoping, costing, and proposal preparation.
• Review assigned projects to define scope, procedures, schedules, budgets, staffing, and billing points.
• Form project teams, assign responsibilities, and ensure task completion on schedule.
• Submit documents to obtain necessary permits from authorities.
• Meet with clients to resolve issues and obtain project approvals.
• Maintain business relationships with clients for ongoing development.
• Plan, organize, communicate, and coordinate project engagements.
• Manage day-to-day project activities including clients and teams.
• Prepare project documentation, schedules, and execution plans.
• Maintain project records and review invoices for accuracy.
• Achieve project performance objectives including quality, scope, budget, and schedule.
• Work on overall designs of airport projects and assist with federal market airfield projects.
• Guide designers on roadway projects.
• Ensure quality control, project completeness, and maintain positive client relationships.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Construction Engineering
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience with at least 4 years in highway or airfield design
• Professional Engineer license (PE)
• Previous project management experience
• Experience working for a transportation agency or consulting engineering firm
• Expertise in Civil 3D and AutoCAD
