About the position

Burgess & Niple is seeking a Civil/Site Engineer with expertise in site development and utility infrastructure to join our team in Cincinnati, OH. This position is designed for individuals who are eager to advance their careers and enhance their project execution skills. As a Civil Engineer/Project Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating and leading the design team through the civil/site design and plan production processes. You will collaborate closely with both Engineering and Architectural design staff to ensure that project deliverables align with objectives and schedules. This role also involves leading and participating in project-related meetings, creating and developing scopes of work and budgets, and monitoring performance indicators, budgets, and schedules while managing project risks. In addition to technical responsibilities, you will be responsible for providing training, coaching, and mentoring to the engineering team, ensuring that they have the support needed to succeed. Your efforts will contribute to creating an exemplary client experience throughout the project delivery process. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and lead design team through civil/site design and plan production
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Architectural design staff to lead, develop and prepare project deliverables to meet project objectives and schedule
  • Lead and participate in meetings related to assigned projects
  • Create and develop scopes of work and budgets for projects
  • Monitor performance indicators, budgets, schedules, and manage risk for projects
  • Provide training, coaching, and mentoring for engineering team
  • Create an exemplary client experience throughout the project delivery

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET accredited civil engineering program
  • PE registration in the State of OH, or ability to be registered with reciprocity
  • 5+ years of related civil/site engineering experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office as well as AutoCAD 2024 Civil 3D
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently as well as collaborate in a team environment
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, including the capability to learn virtual collaboration tools
