About the position

We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our growing team! In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the life cycle of our projects while ensuring that all tasks are completed on time, within budget, and to Blair, Church & Flynn's standard of excellence. This position requires a strong commitment to quality and excellence in engineering practices, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to achieve project goals. As a Civil Engineer, you will analyze plans, survey reports, maps, and other data related to project design. You will need to consider regulations, site selection, and other factors relevant to a project to ensure compliance and feasibility. Your role will also involve preparing cost estimates to determine a project's economic viability and providing technical guidance and support to project teams throughout the project lifecycle. You will review plans and specifications to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations, and coordinate with other professionals such as architects, contractors, and surveyors to ensure that projects are completed on time. Participation in project meetings and providing progress reports to clients and stakeholders will be essential to keep everyone informed and aligned. Additionally, maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of engineering practices and standards will be crucial for your success in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage projects from conception to completion
  • Analyze plans, survey reports, maps, and other data related to project design

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field
  • Must have a valid Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in civil engineering projects
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in engineering design software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
