As a Structural Engineer Project Manager, you will be responsible for developing and analyzing structural designs for various project types, including civic, commercial, industrial, residential, bridges, education, healthcare, and infrastructure. You will oversee structural engineering projects from inception through completion, ensuring that timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met. Your role will also involve preparing detailed drawings, specifications, and reports, ensuring their accuracy and clarity. Conducting site inspections to assess conditions, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards will be a key part of your responsibilities. Collaboration is essential in this role, as you will work closely with architects, civil engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to integrate structural systems into overall project designs. You will ensure that all structural designs adhere to local, state, and federal regulations and industry standards. Problem-solving will be a significant aspect of your work, as you will identify and resolve structural engineering issues and challenges, providing innovative and practical solutions. Additionally, you will be expected to stay informed about the latest developments in structural engineering techniques, materials, and best practices to enhance project design and outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and analyze structural designs for various project types including Civic, Commercial, Industrial, Residential, Bridges, Education, Healthcare, and Infrastructure.
  • Oversee structural engineering projects from inception through completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and reports, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
  • Conduct site visits to assess conditions, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to integrate structural systems into overall project designs.
  • Ensure all structural designs adhere to local, state, and federal regulations and industry standards.

Requirements

  • B.S. Degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred; Engineer in Training (EIT) will also be considered.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience leading a variety of project types including Corporate Commercial, Civic, Residential, Industrial Manufacturing, Healthcare, and Education.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis and design software, including RAM, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Revit.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Enjoys working on multiple projects.
