About the position

We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our growing team! In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the life cycle of our projects while ensuring that all tasks are completed on time, within budget, and to Blair, Church & Flynn's standard of excellence. This position is located in our Clovis office and requires off-site meetings or job site visits. To be considered for this position, you should have your California Professional Engineer license, a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, and a minimum of five years' relevant work experience. You should also possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, which are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage projects from conception to completion
• Analyze plans, survey reports, maps, and other data related to project design
• Consider regulations, site selection, and other factors relevant to a project
• Prepare cost estimates to determine a project's economic feasibility
• Provide technical guidance and support to project teams
• Review plans and specifications to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations
• Coordinate with other professionals such as architects, contractors, and surveyors to ensure that projects are completed on time
• Participate in project meetings and provide progress reports to clients and stakeholders
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of engineering practices and standards

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field
• Must have a valid Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of California
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in civil engineering projects
• Excellent project management skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in engineering design software
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
