In this position, you will engage in a variety of responsibilities that include designing and analyzing hydrology and hydraulics (H&H) modeling, stormwater management, and performing engineering analyses and calculations. You will also prepare proposals, manage projects, and conduct construction inspections. Additionally, you will process NPDES and Wetland and Waterway Permits, design AMD remediation, and manage team members while communicating effectively with clients. Quality control reviews of reports and documents will also be a key part of your role, along with participation in marketing and business development efforts. As a fully competent engineering professional, you will independently handle various projects or segments of larger projects, ensuring adherence to safety rules and quality standards. You will work closely with senior project managers to gain experience in managing more complex projects, make engineering recommendations, and prepare detailed reports. Your role will also involve supervising junior team members and performing hydrologic calculations and stormwater modeling using specialized software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, HydroCAD, and others.

Responsibilities

  • Write and prepare routine and complex engineering reports detailing services provided, findings, and recommendations
  • Supervise graduate, field, and project engineering staff

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Minimum 5-8 years' experience in Civil Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history
  • Proficiency in technical writing, hydrologic and hydraulic calculations, and relevant computer software (e.g., HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, Carlson, Civil 3D)
  • Familiarity with PennDot and Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission design procedures
  • Municipal engineering experience
  • MS4 permitting and Green Stormwater Infrastructure design experience
  • Total Station and GPS field survey experience
  • Land Development Plan preparation experience
  • Erosion and Sedimentation Control and NPDES Permit experience
  • Highway Occupancy Permits experience
  • Soil profiling and infiltration testing experience
  • Project Management experience

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Engineering preferred
  • 5+ years' experience in Civil Engineering design
