About the position

The Civil Engineer position at MnDOT involves providing contract administration and direct engineering supervision on bridge and highway construction projects. Responsibilities

• Provide contract administration for bridge and highway construction projects.
• Supervise engineering activities to ensure compliance with contract provisions.
• Ensure adherence to MnDOT policies during construction projects.
• Review project plans and specifications for accuracy and completeness.
• Coordinate with contractors and stakeholders to facilitate project execution.

Requirements

• Licensure as a professional Civil Engineer with the Minnesota Board of Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Geoscience, and Interior Design (AELSLAGID) for Engineer Senior level.
• A bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction engineering from an ABET accredited college or university for Engineer 2 level.
• A passing score on the Fundamentals of Engineering exam for Engineer 2 level.
• Two years of post-graduation civil engineering work experience for Engineer 2 level.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree in civil engineering or construction engineering from an ABET accredited college or university.
• Passing score on the Minnesota Principals and Practices of Civil Engineering (PE) Exam.
