About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Civil Engineer, either an Engineer in Training (EIT) or a Professional Engineer (PE), to join our dynamic team in Fort Myers, Florida. This is an urgent position that will be filled quickly, reflecting the high demand for qualified professionals in our Civil Engineering firm. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in planning and designing various Civil and Site Development projects. These projects will encompass site layout, grading, stormwater management, and utilities, requiring a comprehensive understanding of civil engineering principles and practices. In this role, you will collaborate with a multi-discipline team that includes architects, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineers, as well as structural engineers. You will work on a diverse range of projects, including those in Higher Education, Retail, Commercial, and Industrial sectors. Your ability to interact effectively with other technical staff across multiple offices will be essential in providing consulting engineering services to state and private universities, national retailers, municipalities, architects, and local development clients. Additionally, you will engage with other Civil Engineering teams within the organization, including Municipal, Transportation, Water Resources, and Water/Wastewater projects. Daily interactions with project teams in a multi-disciplinary and multi-office environment will be a key aspect of your responsibilities, ensuring that all project requirements are met efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and design Civil and Site Development projects, including site layout, grading, stormwater management, and utilities.
  • Collaborate with a multi-discipline team of architects, MEP, and structural engineers on various projects.
  • Provide consulting engineering services to state and private universities, national retailers, municipalities, architects, and local development clients.
  • Work with other Civil Engineering teams, including Municipal, Transportation, Water Resources, and Water/Wastewater projects.
  • Interact daily with project teams in a multi-disciplinary and multi-office environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
  • 2+ years of experience in site development or general civil engineering.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.
  • Excellent computer and communication skills.
