Responsibilities

  • Build and manage relationships with in-house teams and contractors.
  • Provide design and consulting services needed by facility managers and owners.
  • Evaluate options based on client needs, first cost, and life cycle cost.
  • Communicate design recommendations to clients, project teams, and contractors.
  • Work independently or as part of a project team to design and detail new systems.
  • Ensure work accuracy and coordination, following quality assurance measures.
  • Provide timely services that meet client needs and project schedules.
  • Participate in on-site observations and interactions with clients and contractors.
  • Maintain contact with existing clients to ensure ongoing service needs are met.
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplined design team to discuss projects and evaluate design alternatives.
  • Perform civil design calculations following office standards.
  • Stay updated on new design technologies and building materials.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a BS in Civil Engineering.
  • Passed or plan to take the Fundamentals of Engineering exam.
  • 3-7 years of experience preferred, but entry-level candidates will be considered.
  • Working knowledge of Civil analysis and design software, specifically Civil 3D preferred.
  • Professional Engineering license preferred but not required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with decarbonization and electrification projects.
  • Familiarity with stormwater management design and pollution control systems.
  • Knowledge of site thermal piping distribution and pressure/gravity distribution systems.
